Law in the Turks & Caicos Islands is governed by the provisions of the
Companies Ordinance, 1981. This Ordinance has been the keystone of
TCI’s financial services legislation providing for the formation of IBC's,
Ordinary Companies, LLC's, Guarantee companies and Hybrid Companies.
It also provides for the registration of foreign companies doing business
in TCI. There is also provision in TCI law for the formation of
limited partnerships (The Limited Partnerships Ordinance, 1992).
